They're getting younger.... Died aged only 57
RIP Prince
What an extraordinary, eclectic artist: he made me listen to rock n roll with loud, screeching guitars...and to sensual soul and sexy funk at the same time.
Very sad.
I don't believe it.
RIP Prince. Died on the Queen's birthday.
I was lucky enough to have seen him at the O2 a few years ago.
Ah Prince.......-his musical ability was terrific and you have to say that he was a true original with his own unique style. When Doves Cry still sounds like something from another world.RIP
Another Legend Gone, Rip Prince, What a shit year 2016 is so far.
Ah shit! Love me some Prince! RIP.
Just a few days ago found me looking at all the videos of Purple Rain on YouTube. A truly great artist and one of the best guitarists, too.

Yes. A great guitarist and so prolific. He churned them out like a conveyor belt.
Unique great music. RIP Prince.

One of my sisters went to a Prince gig in the late 90s, Duran Duran were the support act, I think. I could kick my arse for not going to the concert as well. He didn't come to Switzerland very often during the last 15 years. Well, at least not to Basel, Zürich or Bern. He played at the Montreux Jazz Festival a few times, though.

Welcome back Gordon.
It has to be 1999 and Diamonds and Pearls but as neither are on YT it has to be these two:
Little Red Corvette - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEHCNMuX-64
I Feel For You - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hX9E44mClKs
(Like many of his best songs, the first hearings were "I'm not sure" and then it suddenly was "this is an atmospheric time and place classic")
Enigmatic was right. Michael Jackson and/or Jimi Hendrix and/or Sly and the Family Stone. Not the strongest of tunesmiths and yet weirdly the strongest of tunesmiths. Definitively 80s in its production and yet not in the 80s at all. It all takes us immediately back to specific memories and yet of itself it seemed to be outside everything.
RIP Prince.

TMZ are reporting that Prince was treated for an overdose a few days ago. He was famously not a user of drugs or alcohol, but I wonder if he managed to acquire a painkiller addiction or something. I guess the autopsy will get to the bottom of it.
