Perfect World

Anybody know if we're ever likely to see this on DVD? The Wikipedia entry hasn't been updated for some time.

It may be rose tinted glasses after all these years but I do remember really enjoying it. Certainly enough to cough up for a DVD.

Loved it but I'm bias because anything with Paul Kaye is going to be funny (with the possible exception of Black Ball)

In Perfect World he's like a yuppie version of Alan B'stard that everyone hates and he gets in to outlandish situations that he has to squirm his way out of. I've not seen it for years and the cassette tapes I recorded it on and even the cassette player are long gone. There were two series so that might help it get released and if I saw it in HMV tomorrow with both full unedited series and a few special features for up to £20 I would snap it up. I've also thought it's probably a good idea to look out for a few second hand VHS players so I can still watch series that never made it to DVD. I like the nostalgia of playing VHS but the boxes took up so much space. The BBC should offer a print per order service so instead of them releasing an old title in a large quantity and risk making a loss they announce availibility of title and then customers place an order and pay in advance. To avoid bootlegging they could have a specified ordering period where they collect all the orders and then dispatch them at once. One day maybe....

Have you seen the film It's All Gone Pete Tong? It's nothing to do with his character in Perfect World but a great film with Paul Kaye who plays an Ibiza DJ.

A DVD was scheduled many years ago now, but cancelled before release. I think we're now probably more likely to see it available to download than out on DVD.

Never even heard of it but put it in my Amazon basket for my next shop. Bit of a confession but I quite enjoyed Black Ball

Maybe I'm being a bit hard because I did enjoy it the first time but I'm not really a fan of Johnny Vegas.

If you have good memories of holidays in Spain and partying the night away you will love It's All Gone Pete Tong. Amazing film and Kaye's finest hour. Just make sure you have the volume turned up high and plenty of alcohol. Ideally some narcotics as well.
