RIP Ronnie Corbett Page 3

Apologies if I've told this before. My father was at the theatre and noticed Ronnie Corbett sitting in front. He tapped him on the shoulder and said: "I'd just like to thank you for all the pleasure you've given me." To which RC replied: "just don't tell my wife."

:D

Really sad news. I didn't realise he was 85, he always seemed to look the same through the years, forever that cheeky boy look.

We seem to be losing so many of our icons, and he was another of the best.

Some of his ilk just seem so ingrained in our psyche that they appear ageless as if human hybrids and we sometimes forget they are flesh and blood mortals just like us.

But he was also never considered as 'old' or even ageing, because he always looked like Ronnie Corbett. What a horrible fate for him and I am not surprised he didn't want to see his friends latterly.

Bruce Forsyth must feel a bit bewildered - guy is a freak of nature (& Prince Philip, of course).

I felt the same about Eric Sykes, so...

Everyone needs to keep an eye on Barry Cryer, if he goes we riot yeah?

I reckon Brucie had an encounter with John Coffey and has another 50 years in him. I hope so anyway because I loved watching his game shows.

Nicholas Parsons 92 Roy Hudd 79 Ken Dodd 88.......oh dear they are all getting too old. :( I said back in January I had a feeling that 2016 was going to be a bad year.

Makes sense though
Since entertainment got bigger the amount of famous people have increased exponentially
We know a lot more stars
So the years are only going to get worse.

Hope that cheered everyone up

RIP to one of the greats

Great shame RIP Ronnie. I can never understand why Sorry! never seems to get repeated on the box.
I don't know who on here is familiar with it but he was in a BBC radio show that is a particular favourite of mine, that's called When the dog dies.
Very quirky and very funny, heartily recommend it. https://www.comedy.co.uk/radio/when_the_dog_dies/
