The second in the series.

Agree or disagree?

"Pulled into a service station and got raped"

Laughing out loud Laughing out loud

It's always nice to open with a rape joke.

Or open a rape shop.

"Dwarves are American"

Laughing out loud

I am a Stuart Laws fan! That was great mate, although to many Merchantisms :P

Really good!

Thanks Leeve!

I studied Merchant for two years to ensure I got every mannerism right. I'm glad you noticed!

Haha thats the funniest way i've ever heard someone say 'Fish' and props for resisting the homo joke Laughing out loud

I think you acted it all out very well, but it did really look like you were reacting like Gervais and Merchant in the off-camera banter. Maybe create your own mannerisms. I'd watch it again.

Well you could say Gervais and Merchant were acting like Larry Sanders and Larry Sanders was acting like the guys in Spinal Tap. Gervais and Merchant haven't cornered the market with this sort of acting its a recognised standard used in comedy.

No!! Was a joke. I was actually dying to comment on the fact that in this one, you was more yourself and for the better!

This wasn't serious, I didn't actually study Merchant's mannerisms. All the mannerisms are mine and mine only. In fact I insisted on doing it all again at one point because I felt that when I said "Not Tony!" that it was too much like Chris Morris.

LOL! I'm not saying I thought you did study him, I'm saying it comes across that its very much like watching one of Ricky Gervais's podcasts. The way you interact off camera and to the camera. The rest is your own for sure and well done. I watched one of your stand-ups as well and that is completely your own too.

Just my own observations. I love the grannies at weddings gag BTW!

That's fair enough, thanks for watching it.

Interestingly an audience at a gong show really didn't like the grannies joke the other day!

It wasn't held in a care home was it? :) It sounded like it got the biggest laugh in your Slough clip.

Good luck with it by the way. I'm working on a routine for my first bash - in total fear of the first gig.

It was strange, that joke had never died on me before. I think I made a mistake using it as an opener.

Maybe, i like it because you don't need to explain the punchline, maybe they weren't following the gag and just noticing a new stand-up. You should post the gag he so everyone can see it (who can't be arsed to watch the clip).
