And Godot, I'm going to accept your critique at face value and say thank you very much. I'm even more curious to read some of your work now.

I've tried acting a couple of times, but it was impossible to tell what emotion I was doing. Acting funnily requires even more skill and talent and impresses me greatly.

Regarding my critiqueing on here - it's consistent and spontaneous and sincere. It's a shame that some people hear 'I don't like you' rather 'this is not funny'.

My last laugh entry's on writersdock here, but obviously it's not recent.

Bit too long, sure, but I thought it was a nice bit of - and I say this with all due respect - nothing entertainment. This is the kind of thing that 'The Fast Show' used to excel at. Taking it at face value, I enjoyed it.

I found it pretty weird in a good way, I agree that your acting was really good. You come across as very natural. I have tried taping myself doing some stand up sort of in character and look such a tit when I watch it back.
well done.

Again, I must add that the acting and the character were excellent.

I didn't find it funny though. However, I think it could be quite good in a sitcom where someone is discussing one of their friends i.e. -

John: Oh my mate, Lenny, is just hilarious. He's so cool

Cut to: The 'bro' sequence, but not including the baby bit at the end.

John: Actually, he's a dick.

Thanks, Godot I appreciate it. I'm unable to view your work though as for some reason Writer's Dock won't allow me to join. I tried and was sent an email requesting I answer a short list of questions to be allowed through the door. One of them wanted to know which was my favourite kind of watch - digital or analogue. I answered but never heard back. Anyone else experienced this?

I'm very thankful for all the kind things being said about my acting too. It's not something I've tried before and it's nice to hear I don't suck out loud. Truth be told, it takes me five or six takes to get anything approaching half decent though, which really only flies in my bedroom.

I agree, Winterlight, that is a funny take on the idea, but I still think it works as a standalone bit.

I have just joined there David. For some reason when i answered the questions the first time, i heard nothing back. However when i joined using my hotmail address, it let me in no problems.
