New Comedy Podcast

Hello Everyone

I have started doing a new comedy podcast, it's a bit weird and unusual with a ambient background to it.

I thought I would post it here to see if you guys had any feedback for me.

It is early days but it's starting to get a structure to it and I quite enjoyed this weeks edition.

have a listen here

Well not one reply, I have even done another podcast since putting this up here.

oh well perhaps people are more interested in the written word and sitcoms, which isn't that surprising really as it is the British Sitcom forum.

anyway if anyone changes their mind or have 30 minutes to kill

Listened to some of it and there were some nice moments but I'm sorry to say it didn't sustain my interest.

Sorry to not have something more positive to say.

well thanks for listening, it's early days so it will hopefully get better as the weeks go on

Hello there. I've just got round to listening to a couple of your podcasts. I found the style of the show (the distorted voices and echos etc.) quite odd and unsettling (reminded a little of Chris Morris' "Jam" in places) and it kind of distracted from the comedy. I'm not a huge fan of the background music - your voice seems to get lost at points - maybe some volume tweaking could fix this? The show seems to meander from one section to another going from intro bit to reviews to a sketch without any clear definition between the sections and i think this makes it quite a difficult listen - like reading a huge piece of text without paragraphs (a bit like this crit). Maybe jingles between sections or distinctly different pieces of background music might help break the show up into more "managable" chunks and help keep the listeners interest? Anyway I'm certainly no expert, just my thoughts - keep at it!

Bo.

Listened to the first part of Episode 1, I'm not sure of it really, there were some nice observations and a couple of funny bits. The quality was shoddy though, lots of pops and crackles and you're voice got drowned out sometimes by the music, maybe invest in a new mic. And I think you should drop the sub-Morris, daaaaark Blue Jam stuff, it sounds too hard like you're trying to imitate Morris in my opinion.

With some tweaking though I reckon this could be pretty good.

thanks for you feedback chaps. It's early days and I'm still coming to terms with the technical stuff, well and the writing and delivery and I am going to download some radio noises and see if I can create some jingle type stuff.

thanks for your comments, food for thought.

Thanks from my fellow comedy podcasters, if you are reading this thread, check out the links to the two previous commenters and give their podcasts a listen to
