DiSparrow: The Short | Sketch Webseries

Hi all! For the past couple of months I've been working on my little sketches on YouTube, some based on true stories some not.

I published the first episode yesterday, January 1st, to kick off 2016

The first episode is based on my audition I was sent you by - what I believe - mistake (I'm an unemployed-wannabe-actor Cool )

Your comment on YouTube appreciated :)

Hey Lukas. My thoughts (if you want them. You can totally ignore them if you don't):

- Don't need the intro. It's 30 seconds of explanation without jokes and I found the raspberry at the end (oddly) scary and off-putting. Much better to get straight into things. Maybe put the intro at the end instead. Or just write what you said in the intro into the YouTube description box.

- Actually you could start things at 0:53 when the actors enter (after a brief title card that explains what the situation is).

- Unfortunately you're going to get comparisons with Extras and Life's Too Short. By now, comedy about actors seems really overdone.

- I like the shots from the mini-cam.

- Jokes are OK. Nothing laugh-out-loud but nothing bad either.

- I think the door closing is a good ending (seems rather definite and it's a clearer punchline). No need for the hobbit stuff afterwards.

So yeah, it's OK. It doesn't look professional (but nothing does on this website).

thank you! They are random "sketches". Not all about acting at all, something like INSIDE AMY SHUMMER or KEY & PEELE :)

Thanks for watching and feedback :D

Glad to hear they're not all about acting.

Inside Amy Schumer and Key & Peele - Good taste!

Here's Episode 2 "COMING OUT BELIBER" :)

I think you should change the title of the vid, you give away the joke. The coming out reveal is quite a well-worn trope, but there's no reason why you shouldn't do it again, but the twist should be a surprise.

On the positive side, I liked the joke with the black guy, and for some reason I found that tiny piano hilarious. Punchline worked too - again, that's been done, but it still fits well as an ending.

I shoud add that you come across as very likable in both the videos, I felt drawn in immediately and there was a warmth to them I really liked*. I agree that the intros should be shifted to the end of the vids, though.

*Mr Monkhouse, that's not what I meant.

thank you guys for your feedback! :)
