Test Results

INT. LABORATORY. TWO SCIENTISTS ARE PORING OVER SOME TEST RESULTS.

PROF ARTHUR SMITH:
I can't believe it, but look... it's the same result... that means...

PROF BERT JONES:
Yes, heat cannot be transmitted through a vacuum…

PROF ARTHUR SMITH: (RUBS HIS EYES)
I guess that includes space as well then, Bert…

PROF BERT JONES:
I guess it does Arthur…

THE TWO SCIENTISTS STARE AT EACH OTHER IN HORROR AND THEN ARE FROZEN SOLID AS THE WHOLE WORLD AND EVERYTHING IN IT SUDDENLY FREEZES OVER.

I'm afraid I didn't get it. Maybe I need some knowledge of science to appreciate it? It didn't raise a smile.

Just my opinion, of course.

Bo.

All opinions very welcome here! Thanks! :)

I liked it.
Maybe do a series of them - disproving gravity, etc.
Also:
I would have a pause for them to exchange "Oh, Shit" looks when they realise the consequences of their discovery.

The budget for the sketch would be immense.

Yes I was thinking that...

If the Junk Males ever shoot it we'll use styrofoam pellets, polythene sheets and white face make up (...with lashings of Extra Virgin Olive Oil! :P)

Yes I think you're right about that, I'll amend it that way! Cheers! :)

It took me a couple of reads to get, but then the scientific part of my brain clicked into action.

I liked it. I agree that a series of these sketches could be done well.

I'm a physicist so I quite like this but it may be lost on some people.

Racists!

I liked the sketch although I think its success would depend on the production and direction of it

Maybe it would be cheaper to make as an animated sketch, but maybe not. I don't know anything about production costs.....

It took a second read to get but liked it, FR. I think your instinct re: the added line at the end is right. It will add to the comic effect.

Liked the Medieval tune Frankie (in your footer). Thought it very Numan in his mid-east inspired Berserker / Strange Charm period. Am now going to upload some of mine. Yikes.

What equipment you using? PM me or email me to save me hijacking the thread.

I already put it in the 4laughs Test Bed awhile back (can't remember WHO I nicked it off..;))

Frankie xxx

Mr Slagg: I will PM re musical matters in due course! :)

THANKS TO EVERYBODY WHO HAS COMMENTED IN MY THREAD!!! MUCH APPRECIATED.
I like this gag but agree it would be hard to produce. As for doing a series of similar scientist gags, I don't know because once the cat is out of the bag people would see it coming..

Thanks again mates! :)

Frankie your music is great. Just pressed on the link (which didn't work) but found you through the search engine. Could you also PM regarding equipment as the production is really good. Thanks and keep on Jazzing/Mediaval Rocking \-/ (meant to be bull horns Laughing out loud)
