Comedy Writing Challenge

I am new to comedy writing and trying to develop my skills. I figured a good way to do that was to get the wonderful people here to offer topics to challenge me to write jokes on.

Please make your suggestions as obscure and tricky as you like and I will see how I get on.

Much love

Aardvarks.

Aadvarks - so named because when God offered to grant one wish, the female of the species said she always wanted to come first.

Yurts.

Yurt
[yoo rt]

noun
1.
A round tent-like construction frequented largely by pretentious, new age idiots who think it gives them status like eating Quinoa or listening to whale arguments.

The name Yurt is derived from a Turkish word which translates as "no seriously, these morons will buy anything."

There's a weekly skit competition you might be interested in as follows:

Also other external opportunities. And not forgetting an on-going joke thread in critics.

You can follow the topic of the last joke to make it tricky.
Welcome to the board.
