One of my favourite character actors.
Brilliant as the archetypal Welsh teacher in 'Please Sir'.
TBH I thought he'd popped his clogs years ago.

Oh. Yes have always liked him. RIP

So did I. Was he in an episode of Yes Minister?

A splendid character actor whose contribution to films and TV was worth far more than they paid him.

He was in Fawlty Towers and One Foot in the Grave also.

A really heart-warming comedy actor. Always put a smile on my face, whether he was playing upbeat or dismissive and cynical.
