Not Remotely Trendy, But Still Funny...

Here's a few people and shows that have never been considered "cool" but still make me laugh: Brian Connolly, Les Dennis, Punt and Dennis, Bob Monkhouse, Max Bygraves, Nicholas Parsons, Heidi Hi, Are You Being Served? and Never the Twain.

Any other shows and people which are considered naff but actually make you laugh?

My Family always makes me laugh.

I used to like the show with Les Dennis and Dustin Gee (I think that was his name) and the Russ Abbot Madhouse, from which I think the former was possibly a spinoff. Or am I talking rubbish again?

Some Mothers Do Ave Em, it just makes me laugh.

Bob Monkhouse really was a genius. I always thought he was pretty corny and obvious, but one night I saw him on TV do stand-up for maybe 30 minutes and I was blown away, my opinion did a u-turn there and then.

I dunno...

Red Dwarf was a great sitcom, but has been saddled with an unfortunate reputation for 'nerdiness.' The Adam And Joe Show was never particularly respected - assumedly because they were so incredibly posh - but was very funny. It's amusing to watch it and 'The Mitchell And Webb Look' back to back so as to see how much TV's latest duo ripped them off.

Yes! Cinnamon I am so completely with you!

Numberwang? Numberf**koff

Pretty much everything 'old'. Bless This House is quite possibly my favourite sitcom.

Always loved AYBS?, and Bob Monkhouse is great. Freddie Starr always amuses me also. And - dare I say it - Jim Davidson.

I loved it when Jimmy Carr sued Jim Davidson for stealing his material. Who else would want to admit to writing omedy that appealed to Jim Davidson. ;-)

Basildon Bond with Miss Funnyfanny.
