Two Ronnies / Morecambe & Wise opera sketch?

Hola All. Great site, thank you! I hope you can help. I have a memory from my youth of a black and white Morecambe and Wise opera sketch. I was with a group of other 20 year olds, all too young to have seen the original and all in tears laughing. Now, my recollection is that it was a Morecambe and Wise sketch. A friend thinks that it was the Two Ronnies. I've seached for both and can find neither. Any chance you can help please? Muchas gracias :-)

Any more info? What actually happened in the sketch? Colour or black and white?

The Two Ronnies did an awful lot of musical stuff.

Beanie said Black and White.

It depends if they were singing. If they were it was more likely to be The Two Ronnies. However I seem to remember a M & W sketch based on the Valkyries but I think it was probably in colour.

Could be an early item written by Sid Green and Dick Hills, they did some daft stuff.

How old are you now? That may help us narrow down the year.

Beanie saw a repeat of some sort, OR:

Could you have been watching on a B&W television? As this is the only one I can think of that has German opera of sorts, from the Q series and the hilarious Spike with a classic.

Not M&W or Two Ronnies, but well worth an airing. Laughing out loud
