I got dragged to that movie on a terrible date.
What are you reading right now? Page 90
Just finished Son of a Witch, which is the sequel to Wicked (which has only a tenous link to the musical).
And apparently there is a third book so going to track that down.
I know what is a travesty:
Sorry, Gav
Currently several biographies of a famous screen star, with the aim of researching a stage show idea.
Before that it was a dreadfully written non-fiction (debatable) The Mysterious Unknown, by Robert Charroux. He managed to write a whole book that consisted of "Because the idea of a prehistory Atlantis is indisputable... yadda yadda." And other such inanities. I persisted with reading because it threw up tiny tidbits that were often unrelated to his (lack of) argument but which fell within another area of interest to me.
King of the Ants by Charlie Higson
Hugely entertaining read (didn't realize he'd done so many non-young Bond books) - just done a random Google and discovered Re-Animator director Stewart Gordon adapted it in 2003 !!! A shame to see it Americanised, but will have to track this one down . . .
Jeremy Kyle - 'I'm only being honest.'
Frankenstein.

The 'proper' book is amazing. Mary Shelley is one of my heros.
Seamus Heaney.
Essays about literary shiz.
Yawn.
Seamus Heaney is rubbish. Apparently, 2/3 poetry books which are by living poets are by Heaney. And he's not that great imho.
Cripes!
We should burn his books. Then I won't have to read this one.
Is thinking of having another go at the Execution Channel.

'Death Of A Naturist' is a great collection. Not a massive fan of most of his later works, but this is an essential imho.
I will have a looksie. I don't like writing off poets as a whole, so it'd be nice to find something I liked by him.
