What are you reading right now? Page 45

If anybody would like a lovely, funny story for a Christmas present, I can recommend the new Alexei Sayle - Mister Roberts.

I think this is his best work yet, and, oddly enough, thematically similar to the last book book I read, the most recent Tibor Fischer - Good to be God.

Why not buy both of them and compare, and make sure I'm not just blowing smoke out of my arse.

Cheers, and thanks for caring.

I keep meaning to read The Catcher in The Rye.

I'm reading A Christmas Carol - time to fish out those Christmassy books :D

I keep meaning to read The Catcher in The Rye.

I read it expecting great things and to be honest I was left a little cold. It's a nice story and written very well but I was expecting magical things given the hype and I just didn't get them.

Agreed about "Catcher..." to some extent. I loved it, but didn't think that it lived up to the hype.

I have it! But still haven't read it. I also have erm... To Kill a Mockingbird.

I love To Kill a Mockingbird!

Murakami's Wind Up Bird Chronicle. Given that it's 607 pages and I rarely read it for 15 minutes a day, if that, I estimate I'll be done with it sometime in October 2009.

I read Catcher when I was 15 and I loved it. It's best read during puberty.

They all sound old and beyond my limited intellectual capabilities.

How clever are you, Aaron?

Nope!

They are quiiite old. But they are usually set texts in high schools in America as far as I know, or used to be, so you could definitely manage them. :)

How clever are you, Aaron?

Well don't ask *him*!
You know what he'll say.

How clever are you, Aaron?

How would one quantify it?

I am reading the back of a cereal box!!! Laughing out loud

To Kill a Mockingbird lives up to the hype and more. Wonderful book.

I just had a big bowl of cereal.

No milk. Just the cereal.
