I believe it's a stage play as well, I'm not sure I might have imagined it...

There is a play called Blood Brothers but I don't think it's the same story.

I saw a version of that in London a few years ago with Anthony Costa. It was surprisingly good! Very good story

The Yes Man is a fantastic book, laugh out loud and with a great message as well.
Join Me is pretty decent also.
