Lots of kids' books. I just finished the very funny "Daisy and the Trouble with Life".
Young Romantics: The Shelleys, Byron and Other Tangled Lives by Daisy Hay

'Ireland Awakening' - Edward Rutherford.

I really enjoyed it and I think a lot of the humour will be up your street.
Looks good thanks
I must be getting old most of my favoured authors are writing not very good sequels
This should be dropping through my door today.
Looks great I love all that stuff about the early days of theatre, when it was all so much more wild and dangerous.
I like reading about larger than life characters who led interesting lives. When are you writing your autobiography
I am currently enjoying this very much:
Mist over Pendle
A novel on the subject of the Pendle Witches
