I read one the other day where Captain Haddock rocks up and Tintin's never met him before!
That was bizarre.

I loved Tintin, great books.

I'm reading David Mitchells* 'Cloud Atlas', tis ever so good so far.

*not the real David Mitchell.

I loved how in the 30s and 40s a book could be written for adults and children about an outwardly gay hero and his sailor companion.

The Blue Lotus was one of the last ones to be translated into English
Probably due to the drug references.
The other one that wasn't translated ( don't know if it has now ) was Tintin on the Congo
Because it might be thought of as a little bit racist in parts

Yup it has as well as Tintin and the Russians

I've read a couple of the newer Asterix Books recently but they aren't as good as the old ones.
