Ted Ray? Peter Gilmore?

Just watched it again for the third time - such a brilliant double joke.

Isn't it just?

Has anyone mentioned Jim Dale? A great romantic lead, always funny.

Ted Ray?

Always loved Ted Ray - Rays a Laugh on the radio when I was a kid (my first love was the voice of Kitty Bluett, Ted's wife in the series) and later he was superb in Jokers Wild.

I mentioned him but I never thought he was under rated.

Though Williams and Dale for me still slug it out for top Carry Oner.

Dale was rated highly enough to be snatched by the National Theatre to play alongside Olivier so I assumed he wasn't under rated. Am I being too literal again?

Not really, I think it is because was a big theatre star who did little film work.
