Lmao

Classic!

Thanks for the feedback - and all completely true. Oddly, while the bloke on the run from the mafia was an American he was the spitting image of Richard Branson, that is, if he had lost his marbles and fallen on very hard times. A range of Sky programmes can be obtained via Virgin media and from other reputable providers.

I know the show has that label/stigma of "only for old people", but I've never understood why. I first saw it on PBS as a teenager and it's been one of my favourites ever since. To me funny is just funny; there are no age restrictions. ;)

Same here, there was much to like about the original series with Compo, Clegg and Foggy. Back then no one else was doing a series about old blokes trying to fill their days by going down hills in bathtubs. I can name dozens of more acclaimed sitcoms that are way worse than the iffiest LOTSW episode.

The original 3 included Michael Bates as Cyril before Foggy joined.

As it wore on I started loosing intrest. I love the ones with Compo Gleggy and Foggy. I like Smiler, Howard, Pearl and Marina, Barry and Glenda, Entwistle from Hull. Compo's son was a bit of a stretch but I started warming up to him a little. Truly of the Yard and Billy Hardcastle were interesting characters. After all these years you must start finding original stories hard to be interesting.
