Yes, it was Hercule Laughing out loud Victoria Wood As Seen On TV actually, and here's my absolute favourite:-

Also used to enjoy the continuity announcer - very good.

That was bloody brilliant; Wood's scripts combined with Routledge's performance: what could be better? Yes, Susie Blake was the snobby southern continuity announcer and one line really sticks in my mind:

"I'd like to apologise to viewers in the north. It must be awful."
