Are You Married To Some Of Your Jokes?

You really shouldn't be, I know, but are there some jokes you keep taking with you project after project? There are a couple I wrote ten years ago that I'm still carrying around with me.

Yeah, I have a few too. They tend to get rewritten and put back out there.

Yes, easily, but so does everyone, ever!

yes - because the bastards won't ask for a divorce.

You should definitely leave that joke David.

When I started writing sketches Leevil suggested I sleep with them.

Damn those nasty paper cuts!

Are you sure he didn't suggest you sleep with him?

Lol, no, it may even have been on themHuh?

I've used the same joke many times in multiple sitcoms. Only because I felt that they fit. I wouldn't use a joke for the sake of it.*

*Don't hold me to that. :$

I'm married divorced and sympathy sexed to most of my jokes. If something doesn't work but I like it I will try it again but some of my jokes only make me smile so they're resigned to my head.

I put them in and think "If they don't laugh they don't deserve to laugh, thats a solid gag!"
