Can you tell me about a program I saw back in the 1970's. The setting was
about 1900. It was about a young man who developed a skin problem working in
a tannery. He wa refered to a government health facility- where he was
subjected to a year of fustrating delays. Finally was healed--the doctor
told him he might be well to get out of tannery and join him in a new
industry ---ASBESTOS.The only other parts of the story were that the man was about to be married and wanted his hands cleared up beforehand. There were "sargents at arms" in the health facility who were constantly putting down frustrated patrons who became unruly due to lack of attention. The size of their files was an indication as to how long they had been "in the system" -- starting out with one sheet of paper --after a year the file was 2" thick.
.
Have you seen this??
Sounds very generic and could fit hundreds of shows
