Cilla Black
James Brown
Both Motown artists in the 60's listed by last to die, first. Or first to die, last.
5.
Both are trading centres and Singapore was a town in the Malay Archipelago. Zanzibar is a Tanzanian Archipelago. Listed by oldest trading centre or Archipelago first ? Failing that, they are both (except Singapore) names of Pubs.

Both wrong, but there's logic in there somewhere.................................I think.
James Brown Motown? I don't think so, let alone Cilla.

2 Yes! Not many people would remember the silver thru'penny bit called a Joey.
5 Yes, see below.

4 No and...............
5 Yes.
The "Road To" films:-
Singapore (1940)
Zanzibar (1941)
Morocco (1942)
Utopia (1946)
I call "too esoteric" on the Road To films as a "sequences" question. Fine as a "connections" question. Also the first four Carry Ons probably too hard for Joe Public (except for Carry On buffs).
These are not from Pointless or The Chase. Dunno what you think of some of the what I would call really obscure specialist ones on Only Connect.
I thought you liked to be challenged.
Someone dressed as a Telegoon with a mask is complaining other people are esoteric!
