You're The Worst

Just finished watching the first season of this FX sitcom and it's one of my favourites of the year. It's very funny, bittersweet and well written. There's a great blog about it here: http://deadshirt.net/2014/08/07/youre-worst-lands-among-fxs-best/

Thanks for sharing Ben

Going to watch first episode now. Reviews are excellent.

Just watched the first episode and wasn't that impressed to be honest.

5 Star in the UK are showing the first season now. Caught the first four eps, and enjoying it. Got a similar vibe to Catastrophe, though naturally with an American bent.

The main couple are supposed to be selfish and (relatively) unlikeable, so might not be everyone's cup of tea.

Jimmy (Chris Geere) has none of the immense charm of Rob Delaney in Catastrophe, in my eyes anyway, so that might be another turn-off for some. He reminds me of a young David Hepworth, the music journalist, both with his looks and accent.

Ep 4 last night was particularly good - What Normal People Do. Gets repeated next Tuesday, 11.25pm. (Ep 3 at 10.55pm - seemed a bit weak to me.)

First showings are at 10 -11pm on Thursdays.

Ah, it's finally on over here, is it? One of my favourite sitcoms of the last few years and it's got rave reviews in the US.

The second season gets quite deep, but it's equally fantastic.

Never noticed 5 Star before, but the series got flagged up as a Pick Of The Day in the RT, so I thought I'd check it out, and glad I did.

5 Star is widely available.

Ep. 5 last Thursday (Sunday Fun Day with the hipsters) is worth catching. Gets repeated tomorrow night (Tues) at 11pm.

Right now, it's the series I'm enjoying the most, partly because it's something fresh and new, as opposed to some of my older favourites that I've already seen 20+ episodes of.

Thanks to my TiVo going all HAL 9000 on me, just discovered that current episodes are available until the following week on C5's catch-up service (on Virgin Media anyway).

Ep. 8 was quite emotional, but still clever and funny. Haven't watched ep. 7 yet, but at least I won't have to wait for the Tuesday night repeat now. :)

Another double-bill tonight at 10pm, 5 Star.

zooo, or Lee, you seen it yet? Might be your thing.
