Any tips?

Hi folks,
I hate it when people seem to want others hard won tips and experience handed to them on a plate.
But....

Has anybody got any rough tips as to any places that it's worth mentioning an indy-published book? i.e. any websites/forums/twits/FB groups that are worth contacting?

I've been googling away trying to find places but my search fu seems to be weak on this.

(Is the writers year book thingy any good for this?)

Cheers in advance for any helpful words you may share.

Within the indie-reader community there seems to be a lot of Book Review Blogs.
Here's a link to one: http://www.thereadersden.blogspot.co.uk No idea if it's any good or has any sort of following, but they all seem to have links to other blogs, so it might be worth doing a bit of research to find out which ones it's worth getting a review from - and which ones have a leaning towards your genre.
A US Facebook group I get updates from has a ton of links - just not sure how US-centric they are.
Here's the link https://www.facebook.com/groups/495847367109155/

Good luck.
In return I might quiz you on your experience/lessons learnt, as I am contemplating something similar!

Thank you, sir!

In addition to them many, many indie book groups on Facebook, there is also the goodreads website (although I don't know too much about it, having never used it.)
