Comedy Soap Operas?

I'm think of doing one for my next project. I know of 'Soap', and 'Let The Blood Run Free'. Any other good ones people know of?

I'm planning on my typical silly, anarchic, surreal style. I was thinking of a Neighbours style street with a collection of odd people in each. One house would have an active volcano in the garden (stock footage), one house will have all the inhabitants die every few episodes, one house would be like an arty stage production: all black background and a couple that move and talk as one person...

...yeah, I know. Thought I'd really let myself go. Anyway, I was trying to think of ways to bring the people together. Ramsey Street had a coffee shop when I watched, and Paul's office where everybody seemed to work Eh?. Community centre? Village hall? Any ideas?

I saw the Pilot of this at a screening with Harry Hill doing a stand-up introduction.

Don't know why it didn't make it. Was it ever shown on TV or DVD?

Surely a pub would be the best way to bring your community together. :)

Sounds like it would be too crazy for the sake of being crazy for me
