It's quite possible (I'm hesitant to say 'likely') that they will.
Watching Page 2
I would love to believe/agree with you but seeing as series one was released
...what?
Plenty of stuff has had only one series released until recently.
Sorry, went to check the year Second Thoughts Series 1 was released, but trailed off and hit post instead. Lol.
I loved this show at the time, but I've not seen it for years.
I remember trying to do eye make-up like Brenda's with my mum's eye shadow...a lot.
I have just seen an episode of this. I did love this back in the 1980s and it still made me chuckle in some places. Not sure I would want to watch all of them now though; but back then I could not wait for the next episode.
Watching is a real gem of a comedy series. It is very under rated in my opinion. The one liners that Emma Wray's character, Brenda, comes out with are very witty and funny.
Series 1-4 are good but the comedy moves up several gears once Brenda's mother comes into it.
I bought this on DVD from Network DVD a few years ago now and it still as funny.
I became a big fan of Watching a few years ago and bought the box set. Great performances from Emma Wray, Liza Tarbuck and Paul Bown, also Patsy Byrne as Malcolm's snooty mum. A special mention too for Noreen Kershaw who appears from Series 5 as the girls' scatty mum.
It also has the nostalgia factor too now! Emma Wray went on to star in a very underrated sitcom called My Wonderful Life, which I enjoyed a lot, although this does not appear to be available on DVD. She then seemed to leave the acting profession, which was a shame.....unless anyone knows any different? I am quite new to this comedy forum lark, so would welcome any news on this artiste.
Happened to catch a repeat of the original Radio play Watching on R4Extra yesterday and it was fantastic, much better than I remember the TV series to be but I only casually watched one or two at the time. Sparkling interplay between the two, I thought that's how to guarantee getting a TV commission. Available on BBC Sounds for any fans of the popular TV sitcom.
As I recall Liza Tarbuck was very comely in those days.
