Writers C.V

I need to write a C.V and I don't really know where to start. I've looked at various websites for tips, but thought I'd see what you guys thought was the best approach.

One of the tips I read was a personal statement, what kind of stuff have you included in your personal statements?

Have you included a section for education, even if it's not relevant to writing?

If anyone would like to post/DM their CV it would be great to see it.

Mine's on my profile - as are quite a few others - might be worth checking those out.
Mainly, though, you'll be judged by your work, I should imagine.

There's no definites.

I'd say don't mention anything outside of performance/comedy/writing etc.

Put a parragraph that describes what you do in terms of your history and what you can do. Then list of your achievements so they make up a list of about 10.

A brief description of your appearance and sexual preferences is essential.

You could just draw a picture of it being a cartoonist and everything

I've wondered this myself.

I've had nothing broadcast, the closest I've had is my material getting recorded for Newsjack but not being broadcast.

Is it just part personal statement with a list of things being written (in my case Laughing out loud ), and credits for those with stuff broadcast underneath?

well you've contributed to BCG, have any of your jokes ever been used by a friend doing standup?

and newsrevue is an easy credit

One tip on the website was include a Spec list too, the stuff you are currently working on but have not been published/performed. Do any of you have that on your C.V's?

Yes but keep it modest 2 or 3 things and be clear if it's under consideration with anyone.

I'm working on about 6 or so short stories, each at various stages, should I say Currently working on a collection of short stories?

also when talking about Newsjack should I have a section for every series I had material broadcast on or one section with "series 4-7" under it?

I'd combine them
