If causing discomfort whip it out. Bunions that is not cocks.

You'd whip it out to a trained professional, wouldn't you?

Or an interested amateur if I'm frank.

If it wasn't for modern medical science then I daresay at least half of us wouldn't be alive to post!

You can't argue with traditional medicines. You still get the same death rate.

Not in infant mortality rates.

Any suggestions for anxiety? My GP (who is brilliant) says it's hard to solve.

Mindfulness/CBT are your friends. And yoga, surprisingly.

So about my bunion - should I let the sawbones loose on it or not?

I would. I hear it is tricky to wear high heels with a bunion.

This is correct.

Another vote for mindfulness. And gin.

Trying to get into mindfulness which I think is basic concentration.

Find it difficult in the middle of the night when in the grip of the hebbie-jeebies.

Like all mental illnesses, anxiety is very hard to treat as unfortunately, there's very little evidence of what actually causes it. Add to that, many people may have, for example, anxiety and depression, but others may have anxiety and schizophrenia, it becomes difficult to even define what anxiety is.

Anyway, my method of coping with anxiety is to think logically and positive. Sometimes I'll even sit and write the facts of the matter down to try and make sense of it all.

Bit more to it than that. Try Mindfullness-based Cognitive Therapy; partly it is about using mindfulness to observe your own thought patterns from a detached perspective; it was originally developed to help people in chronic pain. You may need to get out of bed for it to be effective.

In past times it was usual on waking in the middle of night to get up and do something, and then go back to bed. People used to talk about first and second sleeps. Probably healthier than lying there with your mind churning.

Also handy is that people with certain types of anxiety are too anxious to ever go to the doctor and ask for help with it. So that's nice for them.

Another problem with Anxiety is that if you're Dyslexic too you probably think you've got a Tiny Axe.

Laughing out loud

How sweet!
