I know I just wondered if I was correct with the name, heh.
The crucial thing about Not Going Out getting commissioned was that it was by industry people who have all the contacts that that brings. Your average Joe Slug doesn't stand a cat in hells chance trying to flog a well worn comedy idea, unless you subvert it spectacularly.
(incidentally, I'm a felliw Joe Slug, so don't take that personally).

It seems to me more of a vehicle for Lee Mack's stand up type comedy than a sitcom with a story line.
