Title

Started writing a sitcom about security guards about 3 years ago, gave it up after ITV's The Security Men which was also the name of my sitcom - I've now started working on it again after finding out ITV's show won't be a series and need a new title - any suggestions?

Thanks

What are they securing? How about Flasks and Sarnies as a title?

I've never really thought about what they are securing it's just set in a security kabin

You have to think if Caroline Aherne (whatever her bloody name is) with all her punch can't get a full series of a sitcom about security men, then what are the chances for a new writer?

It's probably best that she pipped you to the post with the title "The Security Men" which quite frankly lacks any imagination.

Understand where you're coming from but hers was comedy drama, mine is sitcom and more in the style of Mrs Browns Boys the only thing in common is the fact that it's about security guards.

Ah right. Well, in that case, a clever play-on-words title would be good. Ah, but alas, I cannot think of any.

Jobsworth?

"Security" works as a title on its own.

Or "In Security". Depends on your tone and characters really.

Locke, Stock, & Barrel

Not just a title, but 3 main characters too with backstories.

Locke is a philosopher/a former actor from a cult American TV series.

Stock is a budding TV chef/washed-up 80s music producer.

Barrel is overly fond of Mars bars/Tetley's bitter.

:D

Titles are usually fun to come up with.

Might throw a few more out later. :)

Guardians of the ??? (Universe could be the name of the company they work for.)

Okay. Got it!

No further suggestions required. ;)

*drum roll*

Have you been reading the script?

"Si Si, TV" - the knockabout tale of 2 Mexican security guards who are surprisingly accepting of the cross-dressing community.

I'll take 10%.

I was thinking "In Security", but IMDB says someone altrady used my shit title idea back last year...

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2081274/

"The owners of a failing security company start robbing houses to boost business"

Like the premise though...
