What is your aim in life? Like, what would you have to do so that you could say, yes I've achieved X, I can die a happy man.
Goals
I'd prbly want to go beyond X, but I don't know Y.
That joke is so Zzzzz.
My first goal is to see my material performed professionally.
My second is to be paid for it.
My third is to reach the point were I can live comfortably writing, doesn't have to be comedy.
To win a lottery. Several millions is completely enough.
First I need to buy a ticket, though.
To have a sex change operation. So I can die a happy woman!!!
Only kidding. I want to make some money out of this hobby
Yeah, earning enough as a writer that I don't need a day job.
Being able to tell people 'I'm a writer' and not feel like I'm kidding myself.
zooo - you have an agent, you are a writer. Not that I'm jealous. ahem.

Hear, hear - mega kudos to Zooo the writer.
I'm lucky enough to have achieved some goals but they never come 100% perfect, there's always something that I wished was corrected but I fear that for me attaining my goals will never be enough. Even if I get the commission, I'll want another and another. Then I'll want a Golden Rose. Then a podcast to millions. Then the USA. Maybe Tehran. I'm too greedy and my mind is always beating on my body for being so frail and not keeping up with its relentless desire. So I don't think I'll ever see myself as a success.
Me and my bloody ulcer(s).
SlagA - you should mentor some of the upncoming writers on this forum. You'd be great at it.

I'd love to but aren't mentors supposed to be good at what they mentor ... plus who'll mentor me?
That's a bit of a plug for any pros out there ** coughs **

I would like to have the talent to be a chess grandmaster.
I would like to write something that is actually worthwhile and has some value.
I'd like to be just like Ricky Gervais..
