Babylon Page 2

I didn't watch it but from the trailers I thought it was straight drama.

James Nesbitt is mustard but everything else is dire.

Far too many horrible characters and it's totally implausible· an officer back on duty straight after shooting someone?

It's been refreshing to see warm, character-driven shows like The Detectorists and Puppy Love. This is just tired, confused agit prop,

I thought thias a little better than the pilot, as it seemed to be a more focused drama, with fewer odd stranded gags. Still kind of exhasuting to me - I know Drama Is Conflict, but every scene doesn't have to be a stand-off - and I find the bits with the "coppers" pretty unconvincing, but a step in the right direction. Doubt very much I'll watch any more.

As previously mentioned this series doesn't seem to know what it is : Drama or Weak Comedy

Nesbitt is great (as always) but the show is not really a comedy.
I'm going to stick with it.. as a Drama, it's a light-hearted escape from 'Made in Chelse' and 'Im a Z-Lister .. get me out of here before my makeup runs'

BTW .. hello everyone. I'm new here but looking forward to being a regular contributor.
Cheers
Steve
