What a delightful character you don't possess. You have just proven to me with those words that you are a truly nasty individual. Is that the way in which all people in the IT profession speak? Like a glorified barrow boy? It is not your fault that you happen to have been dragged up from somewhere in the most "unloveable" generation of all time but I do pity those younger than you. They had especially better watch their backs.

I think too that there is a little bit too much of the rampant aspiration you and your very ugly middle class ilk exhibit. The sort that is prepared to destroy any others' modest efforts and pleasures for the sheer hell of it. You offend me. You really offend me. Does some of my licence money really have to pay for your crass rot? I guess so. There is one thing that your language and behaviour reveal, though, that gives me the most enormous pleasure. It is to know - really know - the depths of the immaturity and sheer personal under-development in the 30-something so-called professionals you typify. Because of my own background, I relate better to a level of respect and decent normality. But that is beyond your upbringing.

Sadly I can't agree as it could be a small key milestone in the forum's greater embracing of diversity. But I am not one for persistent vendetta unless things go unpleasantly downhill. So I am not intending to pursue it any further and I would hope that people didn't feel as if they were treading on egg shells. It is supposed to be a relaxed place. But the specific targeting of individuals surely has to ease a bit for common decency.

But you see this reaction - and the one above it - is essentially tolerance of one-sidedness. An equal fight with people shaking hands afterwards is one thing but an unequal one in which someone is FORCED into saying "please leave me alone" is different. He has the weight not only of specific attacks on his back but also that of the silent majority who are happy to let it happen. That is wholly unacceptable in grown up people. This is a public forum. It isn't only those with aspirations who have the right to be treated with dignity. My comments have just been a few hours of reaction to MONTHS of cowardly group attacks on him. Basically they are to show what it is like on the end of it - and nobody likes it even for half a day, do they?
