The Goodies 1975 Christmas special

I was flickng through Virgin Media on demand service and saw that this programme was available.

It was a BBC programme and as I was watching this was quite surprised it was shown.

There were refernces to Rolf Harris and Jimmy Savile and indeed both "characters" (people impersonatting them) were shown from behind doing their catchphrases.

Very surprised they showed this given the things that Savile has been rightly vilified, I appreciate that Rolf is still innocent at themoment.

Should programmes like this still be shown or should all references to those who have been found guilty be banished forever?

I was also watching a 70s programme recently and noticed that they were calling two gay guys "poofs". Should programmes that are not PC be banished forever?

I recently watched Mind Your Language and cannot say that I was offended. It does stereotype people but I found it very funny. 'Allo 'Allo! stereotypes people as well yet no one compalins about that. I also love 'Allo 'Allo!.

They was A mention of Jimmy Savile in OFAH but that is not cut out.
