But it's supposed to be!

Er, just run that by me again - it's meant to be poor comedy. >_<

Quote: lofthouse @ 20th February 2014, 10:39 PM GMT

Exactly!

Do you honestly think V&B thought that was a hilarious joke ?

They're mentalists

This is what they do !

What, not be funny, or am I missing something somewhere. We had alternative comedy, and the new comedy is not funny comedy. Per...lease!

Python was mental. League of Gentlemen was mental. But both were funny.

House of Fools is like the curate's egg, and this lens cap "joke" is one of the bad bits. The "joke" was old hat and puerile. You'll be saying next that they were being ironic - oh dear, not that old excuse again for hackneyed material being passed off as "the new comedy".

I haven't watched this episode yet
But that sounds like one of their better ones,

Better ones? Then you are easily pleased.

I agree too, and have to say I have been very disappointed with all of the series.

I love Vic and Bob - Big Night Out, Shooting Stars, but this I found stilted.

The last episode:-

Take yer cap off
I haven't got a cap on
No! Lens cap
But I haven't got anyone's cap on

No, sorry, that is poor.

No, it was more like:

Vic: Take yer cap off
Bosh: *scratches his head*
Vic: No, lens cap
Bosh: I'm not wearing Len's cap. I'm not wearing anyone's cap

I actually found it funny! But I was laughing right from the start when Bob sang 'Will you look at that tit...' :D Shame on me. I'll go and watch some Stuart Lee or other such highbrow comedy to redeem myself. Whistling nnocently

I laughed at the Len's cap line too, I'm afraid!

I didn't say it was verbatim - still not funny.

"I'm afraid!"

Amen to that......

Can we all agree that comedy is subjective and that someone's opinion isn't wrong for finding something funny or unfunny . . .

That'd be nice, wouldn't it!

Couldn't agree more........

It was cringeworthy.

Thank you Will Cam! :) I was beginning to think it was just me missing something........ :(

A great appearance by Reece Shearsmith who showed the boys how to act. I hope this comes back for a second series. It was like ameteur night sometimes but I would still watch it.

Zooo

I know your a huge V&B groupie

On 4extra this morning they played one of their shows from radio 1 from about 1993

It was part of some surreal comedy special thing

It was very funny, loads of Otis and Marvin and Councillors Cox and Evans

You can probably Still catch it somewhere I guess...

Oooh, thank you! You correctly guess I was still asleep at that hour. ;)

I shall have a look around for it.

I've seen several episodes of this and not sure if I find it funny or not, but I do seem to keep watching it though and I've no idea why.

I found myself in the same boat: despite being non plussed I kept it on series link and watched each episode!

It's just Vic and Bob. If you don't like them you don't like them. Took me a little time to do so though.
