Probably hallucinating this sitcom

This is next to nothing to go on but I was hoping someone could help. I'm trying to identify a British sitcom broadcast in the U.S. around the early 90s. It had an office setting, female proprietor/doctor/agent (I'm thinking psychologist but I could be wrong), and a pretty blonde gap-toothed receptionist with a hulking IQ-deficient but teddy bear boyfriend who worked in the same building and dropped in every week. Scenes within the main character's apartment (sorry, flat) always had a bicycle prominently placed just inside the door. My British co-worker, a British TV comedy encyclopedia, looks at me a little weirdly when I describe this to him. Thank you very much for any info you can provide.

Kiss Me Kate.

Wow - 5 minutes. I was waiting forever :D Thanks! Obviously I was off by about 10 years but that was it.

Very much appreciated...

Aw, I loved that show.

It had bloody Minty from EastEnders in it! Stone the crows!

Aw, Minty.
And Chris Langham, so I guess it won't get repeated too soon.

Although the general public have probably forgotten about all that by now. Kind of surpassed by Savile.
