nb if you're planning on selling jokes this can be complicated especially if selling to a comic. Not least of all because if they read something you sent them. Then even if they don't use it you may accuse them of theft at a later date (embarassing but hard and unprofitable to prove in court). And there's a certain embarassment to being a comic who can't write his own jokes (unless I suppose like Bob Hope that's your shtick).
So writing jokes is one trick, delivering or getting them produced is another and selling them is a whole skill in it's self.
