Erk. I have an irrational dislike of Nina Conti.
I'm sure she's nice in real life though.

I find her totally embarrassing - although she's probably a lovely woman and very attractive.

And for the British Comedy Awards why give a lifetime achievement to a Yank?

It's the "International" lifetime achievement award.

Her last ventriloquism/stand-up DVD was hilarious. Track it down.

Well they did call it the international award. Is there not a normal one as well then?
I like it when they cut to the audience and show someone looking utterly unimpressed, ie about 50% of the time.

Maybe. I watched her documentary recently and she just scares me. Maybe it's the puppets.

I'm starting to realise I don't find anyone funny

Except my self

I may start recording my own standup show and watching it.

Just starting watching, Jonathan's intro didn't go down too well.

Zawe. :(
I do love all the comedy actresses nominated though.

My phone won't let me vote!

Johnny Vegas is the highlight. Finish it now!

Love the "International award given just because he was in the country!"

Totally agree. Never seen anything he was in and didn't find it funny at all.

Johnny Vegas. That was epic.

I like Elf, but I'm not a big fan of him generally.

Nice that Felix Dexter got a mention.

Aww, Paul Whitehouse, thrilled he was awarded.

I'm watching on catchup
Thank God Would I Lie To You won the best panel show.
That would never happen on the BCG awards.
As the QI fairies always seem to bring a lot of votes on here.

I thought the whole awards show was glorious from beginning to end. I laughed more tonight than I did at any of the nominated shows.

They cut Steve Coogan off the fools.

On E4 they're on Lauren Laverne while Coogan carries on speaking in the background. Fools!
