Seeing it's Sunday

We see a dusty road

We see a car with its bonnet up

We see a man leaning on the car smoking

As he puts the cigarette out on the tarmac we see lot of other cigarette butts at his feet.

The man looks at his watch and then shakes his head.

We see a yellow Transit van with the AA logo next to it is the Star of David

A man gets out wearing a skull cap.

AA JEW
Sorry about the delay the rebel traffic is murder

MOTORIST
I've been here ten f**king hours!

AA JEW
Have you any idea how dangerous this route is? I've had to dodge all sorts to get here, have you any idea of dangerous it is for a Jew in Syria these days? You should be on your f**king knee praising me for coming out here, not complaining to me like some putz .

MOTORIST
Well you can f**k off I've changed my mind

The AA Jew gets back into his van and uses the radio

AA JEW
Herschel J 6 over

RADIO
Avi where the hell have you been? Have you got over that guy yet?

AA JEW
I'm here, it's another changed their mind job.

RADIO
For F**k sake I don't know why we still cover that f**king Damascus Road

No, this one doesn't work for me.

It had potential and I never

I like the idea of a sketch on 'the road to Damascus', but try to actually have the phrase 'road to Damascus' in there somewhere because I had to Google road to Damascus to check I was on the right page....Even just pan out to see a roadsign that says 'Damascus 50 miles' or something.

You don't need to have a Jewish person in there, though, as that confuses the issue. I thought it had something to do with Jewish culture or something and was searching for the joke. Also, don't worry about what's actually happening in Damascus at the moment because that also confuses the issue. Think of a really good change of heart, then have it occur on the road to Damascus. Not sure I liked the AA change of heart because it doesn't really make sense that he'd turn away the tow, so try to think of something else.

I think what I just said was: Change everything except the road.

I think that critique was funnier than the sketch (In a good way) Loved the last line...

How about a sketch in which Bob Hope & Bing Crosby get converted to a new religion whilst making one of their films?

And you would be right!

Sadly a lot of my Biblical reference sketches fail, I think it's because I have trouble working out what was in the Bible and what I saw in Charlton Heston films.

So much so that I suspect my epic biblical sketch 'Moses Smell The Roses' was let down by the fact that I used Gordon Of Khartoum to shoot Ramses II.

For some reason that one never ever scanned right for me.
