Message to BCG users. Page 2

I'm mainly in the category "fings ain't what they used to be".

You will find that I am scrupulous in applying this equally to Britain and America.

Negatives are used sparingly for when moths fly out of a wallet.

Consequently none of the above applies.

I remember the good old days, this is because my short term memory is impaired, but my long term memory isnt

What would be good K Almond would be if you could stick around and join in with the forum, you have a nice balanced tone about you and the best way to counter what you feel are the bad things is to give an opinion yourself...

This. If anyone feels there's intelligent debate to be had, then join in, offer your opinion, question peoples' blanket statements, and try to foster such.

It's largely futile - I've been trying for years with little success - but it can help add balance and reason.

the ludicrously over rated P&R.

You have failed, leave this place and consider your heresy.

I think this is a windup to get people to (over)react!

Well this has been very interesting and I can say that receiving the more opposing comments was inevitable and I was aware that my views were not going to be hugely popular with everyone, but I have found the reactionary comments a very fascinating and even enjoyable read. I may stick around on other posts like Shandonbelle and Aaron suggested, but I will try to come off less like a hippy wannabe messiah, which I'm sorry if that's how I came off.

Now - go and take some lessons on expressing yourself in writing.

I thought I just did express myself in writing.

It's not a windup so to speak, but I am interested in seeing peoples reactions unless they completely destroy me of course.

I have absolutely no idea why you decided to start this thread.

Might I suggest that you turn your mind to more constructive pursuits.

...I may stick around...

Hurrah!

It does seem a very odd thing to do to come and chastise us for not being interesting enough when you haven't even been a member of the forum or tried to engage us in a more in-depth discussion.

I think that when you are a member of a forum and get to know the regular people it does become interesting to know whether people like certain shows or not, in the same way that you would be interested to know whether your friends liked something or not. But as an outsider it is just a bunch of strangers saying yay or nay, so I can see why that would be dull reading.

I agree with others - join us properly and talk to us and then try to start the conversations you want to have. In future, though, wall-of-text lectures are probably not a great way to introduce yourself...

People get far too wound up by words. They're just comments on a message board.

I personally think we're all a figment of Aaron's mind which makes this letter even funnier. As for intelligent debate. I tried it once but it didn't agree with me :)

For the sake of the world, I dearly hope so.
