Main Character Page 2

Jerry Seinfeld is OCD with cleanliness, he shuns commitment in relationships and openly admits to having a lack of compassion for other peoples predicaments.

The writers said that every thing went in Seinfelds favour so maybe that was his flaw - sort of. If a flaw is meant to make you feel for someone for me Jerrys (the man not the character)flaw was his acting because I couldn't watch an episode without feeling for the man for being the lead in a television show when he couldn't act. Of course he did get better as the series went on

He was a stand up working with professional actors, that's a massive difference

I'm sure it's a huge difference I meant the transition wasn't smooth from my point of view. I wasn't comparing and contrasting I was judging him as a stand up in a new role. I only mention it here because that's what jumped out to me and would be interesting if they played up to that as a flaw

I understand what you mean completely, but the idea behind Seinfeld is that Jerry is a Stand Up, it's his job but George Kramer and Elaine are not supposed to be actors so it couldn't work, you would have to break the 4th wall etc.

I get you now. Yeah that's true

The idea behind Seinfeld the series is nothing to do with that he is a stand up in real life.

Mark have you ever watched Seinfeld?

Yes Tiddy I have.

And I understand the difference between what a characters job is and what a controlling drive in a sitcom is.

Well done you.

Seinfeld is my all time favourite comedy, by season 9 it is simply unsurpassed.

Thanks I worked to so do.

You haven't changed your photo this week Mark, is everything ok your end?

I'm good thanks Tiddy. All serene old bean.

That's good news Mark, I do actually worry about fellow posters (Apart from Sooty)

I should probably start work on a new project but am enjoying some time off from deadlines so pop in here now and then to see what's ado.
