R.I.P. Felix Dexter

Rumour of death of Felix Dexter going round Twitter.

Yikes. Hope it is a rumour.

Does a rumour (hopefully false) really deserve it's own thread?

BCG can confirm he has been ill and in hospital. Waiting to hear if the death is actually true or not, but it seems increasingly likely at present. Very sad news if so.

All his comedian friends seem to be Tweeting about it so it looks likely.
:(
I've liked him since The Real McCoy.

I'd like to think he was a person who went beyond colour and was just funny.

Even if he didn't, I'd like to think people laughed at him for his jokes than for who they thought he was.

I'm afraid it is true: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-24591754

Very sorry to hear about Felix Dexter. I used to watch Lenny Henry's old sketch show and The Real McCoy just for Felix Dexter's contributions.

He also played my favourite characters in Down The Line/Bellamy's People. Early D was a great character.

Never met him or saw him live, but from interviews I've read with him and from what other comedians have said about him in interviews, he seemed like a really nice guy.

A real shame. Sorely Missed.

Very sad. RIP.

One of his best cameos...

15 Storeys High

Spelling corrected. Illiteracy today... eesh!

Very sad news. My favourite appearances of his were on the various Alexei Sayle shows. And his work on the radio show Down The Line.

Maybe the thread title needs to be changed too?

Very sad to hear this. He was great in Down the Line.

RIP

Very sad news, may he rest in peace.

Sorry to hear this news.

He did not.

That was Colin McFarlane.
