You will need a nice set of screwdrivers Tuumble

And some picturehookers.
Yep, hooks, screwdrivers, tools etc - found all those. I've also got one of those handy carry things with cleaning sprays, furniture polish etc so that's handy.
Just been having delve around and found a fair bit that was still unpacked from our last move 18 months ago.
Clothes drier thing for a radiator
Wine glasses
CD/Radio midi system
Mug tree
Measuring jug
Mixing bowl
Bedside lamp
Tea tray
Mop and bucket
Travel iron (which will due for a while)
Dare I say it I've even found some cushions bagged up which will keep Hannah and Jennie happy for a while
Woo!

Cough. Might I suggest something in the region of 60"? Plus: Freeview+ HD or Sky box, 3D Blu-ray player, AV amp, and 7.1 surround sound speaker system.
I've got all my priorities right. You knows it. Mug tree indeed.
That's a lot of gear to watch old episodes of Love Thy Neighbour.

How's he going to get a truly immersive experience from his pornography without such a high-tech set-up?
Hi tech would good...shame I'm on a lo budget
Any kids or organs you can sell?
In all seriousness, Blu-ray players start from about £30 now, even 3D capable ones. I highly recommend going to Richer Sounds for your AV needs. Great prices, great support, extensive warranty cover, and very open to haggling on price and securing good bundle deals. Many TV offers will come with extras thrown in as standard.
As for other supplies, you can pick up surprisingly good quality and comprehensive sets of things - bedding and kitchenware, for example - designed for students, for really reasonable prices if you look around.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, it's perhaps not the highest quality stuff on the market, but will more than suit a single guy on a budget for a year or two. For extras or if you do want to spend a bit more from the off, I've found Matalan has good quality kitchenware, priced very reasonably. Ditto bathroom-ware (soap dispensers, toothbrush holders, etc), actually.
And from personal experience, beware pound shops. They can provide some great bargains at times, but also an awful lot of crap that seems amazingly useful but is actually sub-standard and utterly useless. I learnt the hard way.

And no-one's mentioned salt and pepper shakers yet...

I told you, never buy a discount cock ring.
Asda do some good, cheap bed linen, pillows, duvets etc.
BTW, as nobody else has asked, when's the house warming? How do we get get there? And will there be room for us all to sleepover?
I'll bring a 2ltr bottle of White Lightning.

I read that as 'Disco Cock Ring'. And now although I'm pretty sure they don't exist ( ) I now want one so I get my 'old boy' dancing to...
'Night Fever night feveeeer
We know how to do it'
Then give it a little jiggle at the end. Too much for a Sunday night?

Classy to the very end Old Rocker.
I have to admit that I've never even looked at the possibility of a Blu ray player coz I assumed I couldn't afford it but at £30 I might just have to.
A house warming would be cosy unless we take over the whole building. I'm on the first floor of the triangular building on the left hand side.
"Compact and Bijou..."
That is such a cute building!
Fair dos on blu-ray being HD but they always make me think they're too over-engineered (if that's the right phrase?) You can't just pop a disc in and watch the film. No, that's too simple, it has to connect to the internet, optimise the TV, download updates, etc.. All that stuff is great but sometimes you just want to watch a film.
