What was this sticom called

I remember many years ago watching a british sitcom where the main character was a comic strip writer. He spent most of the show with a puppet on his hand (the character of his comic strip) When he wasn't interacting with his puppet or family , he was fighting with his boss as his strip was always late. I believe that it was called Keep it in the family

With Robert Gillesbe. A regular in 70s sitcoms. He guested in The Good Life, Rising Damp, Porridge - you name it, he was in it.
