Fine by me. Though given it's a comedy forum I'd point out that if anyone fancied taking in some stand-up afterwards:
- Tuesdays sees xsmalarkey (£5 iirc at Jabez Clegg, nr the Academy, 20:30 start)
- Wednesdays sees the Manchester's longest running comedy open mic at Comedy Balloon (free at Ape & Apple, nr the town hall, 20:30 start).
Both excellent nights (though obviously Comedy Balloon is very variable in quality being open mic).
Which Tuesday is this? I might be able to find an excuse to get up to your neck of the woods

Hi guys, I have just joined today and other than being typically late for the drinks meet up, I fit the required criteria ie Manchester, drinker, play about with the alphabet (well I want to anyway). But I am new to this and hoping for any helpful advise etc. Please!

Don't think you're late for a meetup yet Lisa. It's been proposed by James for this coming Tuesday and I've said that'd be fine, but no-one else has said yes so far, and no venue has been agreed...
So if you're interested you could easily been in good time to meet.
