Don't pretend you're not excited about this Marc
It's too early to change my double negative.

I can apparently contain my excitement your honour!
And it's not really a double negative as the subject of the negative bit is different in the two cases.

It's not my fault.
They didn't see fit to teach me anything at school.
Grammar.
Knob gags.
There's so much I don't know.
My life could have amounted to so much. I know I would have been an excellent grammar nazi. Correcting the whose and the who's with a smug grin on my face, my heart filled with the joy that true superiority brings.
Instead, I'm reduced to learning Latin in the pub with my friend. Cos the bastards at my comp didn't see fit to teach me that either
Ignorance is no excuse under law!
Oh yeah.
Whatever, you fancy Vanessa Feltz. So there.
In the old days you could send your scripts to Irene Handl.
Her last name alone could open doors for you.
Look - a clean knob gag

You brighten up my day and make me laugh, Stephen. I would be very disappointed to discover that you had unnatural feelings towards Vanessa Feltz.
Quote: Ringo @ September 2 2013, 9:51 AM BSTHi, yes I'm sure this has been asked on here before but I can't seem to find a discussion on it. My question really is ... do many (or any) production companies read unsolicited sitcom scripts? And of course, can you recommend the good ones? Thanks!
Some do. Check their websites, they'll often state when they don't accept unsolicited scripts.
In addition, send it to agents who represent writers you like (if you're not already doing so). As someone else suggested, individual producers whose work you've enjoyed may also read it.
MCharsley - sorry to go off topic - but your avatar fascinates me. Is it a novel?

Ah that's nice. I am thinking of promoting you from acquaintance to 'honourary daughter'
I have a few your age (real daughters that is) you'd fit right in.

Excellent.
Dad...Can I borrow some money?

It is indeed, it's the cover of Nabokov's Bend Sinister, on which I wrote my dissertation (pretty badly, as it turned out).
