Attitude to writing Page 3

There are a number of the Kirrin Island writing team who have been invited in solely on strength of submitted material. And they're as much part of the team as anyone else now.

And KI has created more opportunities more quickly for us than anyone could possibly have imagined!

Dan

I'm sure it has. The post was not a dig at KI. And the opportunities/invitation you mention are another tick in the keep submitting box

Nowthat's intriguing what opportunities did it open up?

Thanks for all the comments you have certainly given me a lot to think about. I think a mixture of both things is what I should be aiming for, with emphasis on writing more than I am now

Well you got me thinking as well, maybe I'm a little unambitious and narrow cast.
Maybe time to have another pop at Newsjack even if it broke my heart.

No, realise it wasn't a dig; just mentioning that consistent, quality submissions to a single place can easily to joining a team and receiving more opps that way.

Sooty - contacts and connections that have (1) led to improving our product and (2) other work opportunities as a result of that networking. Apparently, KI also has 'a reputation within the industry' too, whatever that means!

Dan

What no success any where?

So where is your success?

My credo is right what the producer, told the script editor, thinks the audience will find funny. Even if it isnt.

Sooty, why are you bothering to argue with Tim? You may as well boil your head in brine for all the good it'll do.

I wasn't arguing I was just curious, its fun to try new things with new people. Even when they're painful and a pain in the bum.

I mean once I get accepted I feel I can write it in my bio and look for another place to submit.

Isn't that just the writing equivalent of the compulsive shopper stuffing bags in the back of the wardrobe??

Godot did once post a Morrissey song about Cybermen, it was only a few lines but it was funny.

Which is more than can be said about Dr who recently

"Heaven knows I'm mechanical now..."?

" I used to have a knob, and know I haven't got a knob..."

Cyber matters to me

"Gallifrey, where do his intentions lay?"
