Not born here so I don't count.
iPad? Laptop? Page 3
He's the king of Norfolk.
He took the crown from Bernard Mathews.
But on the subject of computers. 2 options one the Surface has been heavily dissed and is the ugly red headed step child of Android and the ipad. But the keyboard is pretty good, it runs a version of windows and maybe a bargain usable word processing tablet.
I've got a touch screen s200e and I love it like Cameron loves evil.
It's maybe a pound heavier than a full size tablet, it's got a proper keyboard, big memory and using it is like an optical illusion.
Because I can use it like it's fat big brother laptop. And yet it slips in my bag like a pad.
It's also a little lighter, tougher and a lot cheaper than a laptop with detachable keyboard,
I have an ASUS eeePC netbook which I take everywhere. It's lightweight and has a very usable keyboard (not all netbooks do imho). But if you want it to be powerful/run fancy software it's not really for you. Cheap though. Can pick them up for under £200 and does more than enough for writing on.
I had a laptop which I used during my commutes, I primarily used Celtx to write on that. Then I sold my laptop and bought an iMac (so I can edit the films I make) and now I write on my phone whenever I have an idea.
I use Pages on my phone, sync it to my computer via iCloud and then paste everything to Celtx on the iMac. I know there's a Celtx app that syncs as well but as I had Pages before Celtx, I preferred to invest the £6.99 to 2 cheap pints in a pub.
Apple do a good bluetooth keyboard, that fits into a neat Origami workstation. When folded out, the case supports the iPad, and is really neat. And around £20.
Thanks Nick & Michael - very helpful.

I think all the wishing stuff about holographic keyboards reflects the disappointing reality.
Whatever the gadgets I still type at quarter speed on my little pad
