I've been thinking about getting a brand new car for a few months. The benefits are several years warranty, very little car tax and economic to run if I get a diesel. The downside is I can't afford to buy one outright, so finance is the only option. What are people's experiences with car finance? Worth it? A heavy burden?
Have had finance on two cars over the years just to get me up to the level of something half decent, never reached the dizzy heights of a new car though and have never craved brand new.
It's high interest all the way though with car finance...I go to a website called Honest John for any info and advice about cars, it's a mine of information. I emailed once when looking for a used car and got a really prompt email back from Honest John (don't know if it's one man or an office full!) but was very good no nonsense advice.
